This page says what sellmydata collects, why, and who sees it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect

When you list data: your work email, company name, industry, headcount range, which systems the data comes from, a rough volume, a date range, anything you type in the notes, and the time you ticked the rights confirmation.

When you request access as a lab: your email, your organisation, and your message.

When you sign in: an account with your email, managed by Clerk. We do not store passwords.

We do not collect, store, or transfer the data you are listing. It stays with you until you and a buyer agree terms, and then it moves directly between you.

Why

To show your listing to labs, to contact you when a lab is interested, to show you the status of your listings, and to introduce you to a buyer if you say yes. Nothing else.

Who sees it

Labs see the anonymous parts of a listing: industry, headcount range, systems, volume, dates, and notes. They never see your company name or email unless you agree to an introduction.

The operator of sellmydata sees everything above in order to make introductions.

Services that process it on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies), Neon (database), Clerk (sign-in), and Resend (email to the operator). We do not sell your contact details to anyone.

Cookies

Two, both needed for the site to work: a sign-in session cookie set by Clerk, and a cookie that remembers a lab has entered the catalog password. No advertising or tracking cookies.

How long

Until you ask us to remove your listing or account. Email us and it is gone within seven days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email samuel.c.danquah@gmail.com.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we email everyone with a listing.
